Pile of Chinese character flashcards

China Talk would like to encourage and support more schools to start teaching Chinese.

Our workshops are designed to introduce Mandarin at schools where it is not currently offered.  China Talk activities will leave an up-to-date impression of Chinese life in the 21st century, an appreciation of how our lives are connected with China, and an understanding of the importance of China in the world.

After a successful Spring Festival season 2016 celebrating the Year of the Monkey, we look forward to international theme days in the summer term.  To coincide with a Chinese celebration, you may like to consider the Dragon Boat Festival on June 9th.

We can also provide local support for primary school teachers and teaching assistants who are following the UCL Confucius Institute Primary Programme of Study. This programme is building basic Chinese skills for teachers so that they can deliver knowledge to their pupils as they learn themselves.

“Liz’s Chinese workshops were an excellent addition to our Flexible Learning Event: not only were the sessions specifically planned to meet the needs of the various age groups, but their hands on, practical design allowed all involved to appreciate the Chinese Culture in a creative way. Students left the sessions excited by their experience and I would highly recommend for other students to learn about the Chinese Culture in this way.”
